My recent work moves between two modes: intuitive visual play and formal problem solving. The paintings hold both the spontaneity of paint and the precision of a draftsman attempting to describe light and spatial illusion.

The work begins in collage, where I cut, tear, and rearrange forms to generate compositions through improvisation. These studies become the foundation for larger paintings, translating fleeting decisions into more fixed and deliberate structures.
